A bizarre afternoon match against Reading Blue Coat resulted in a far tighter win than it should have been. We started as though we had eaten a seven course menu at the Fat Duck at Bray as Bluecoat raced to 48-0 off 3. Enter Tom M who dismissed both openers and whirled his way to extraordinary figures of 3-6 off 4 overs. Will T and Jordan G also shared 5 wickets between them as spin wrought havoc. The score of 124 was eminently gettable but we contrived to lose wickets in a variety of ways including 2 run outs. It took a calm partnership between Jordan G, player of the match with 33 off 22 and Charlie R to see us home with three overs to spare.
