Thursday saw two T20 matches. Having lost the toss against Bedford School on a tough wicket at Reading, we struggled to 112. An opening partnership of 48 by Fergus O’C and Patrick R was not capitalised on and it took a steady partnership between skipper Charlie R and Ollie M to take us to respectability. We made Bedford work hard for the win which they achieved in the final over. Highlights of our effort included a brilliant run out from Patrick R and miserly bowling from Will W and the spin twins Charlie R and Tom M. Ben L picked up three late wickets to cause Bedford jitters.
