Sherborne got off to a flyer thanks to Henry C (31) and Ollie C (37) putting on 60 inside 5 overs! Taunton pulled us back with their left armer Thompson and Porter bowling particularly well. Sherborne kept hitting the short or over pitched ball hard, several catching chances weren't taken and that allowed Felix G (33) and Caspar G (35) to push the scoring along. Caspar G looks a really good prospect - strong off the front foot and stroked a huge straight 6. A superb direct hit run out accounted for Felix G. Alf M also chipped in with a quick 14*. In reply Taunton struggled to put partnerships together under tight bowling. Ollie M's pace made him a constant threat, Raff W and Arthur B's accuracy was impressive. Henry C behind the sticks took an amazing one handed diving catch off Arthur B. Ben B and Charlie R's spin looked promising. Pick of the bowlers was Arthur B who claimed 3 for 9 from 3 overs. The pitch became a bit unpredictable in their innings and it was definitely a wise decision to bowl first. A really impressive performance in all 3 departments today. Well done.
