In a fiercely contested match, Sherborne put up a valiant effort against Cheltenham College, demonstrating excellent tackling, teamwork and resilience throughout. The boys showed tremendous determination, making life difficult for their opponents at every turn. Despite the strong challenge, Cheltenham College's speed proved too much in the end, but the boys made it clear that they were not going to give up easily and would make Cheltenham college work for every point.

The Sherborne boys ball carrying was particularly impressive, combined with some valiant defensive efforts, with the boys stopping Cheltenham's forwards in their tracks on numerous occasions. The defence stood firm, making it a tough battle for the opposition to break through. Although Cheltenham edged out the win, Sherborne boys can hold their heads high, having Cheltenham them work for every point and showing great spirit and commitment from start to finish.
