With three generations of his family present, Art LP captained the Under-14D side to victory on Carey's this afternoon in an entertaining and exciting game against a strong Marlborough side. Trailing 17-7 at half-time, the side stirred itself into action, scored within seconds of the start of the second-half, gained a nine-point lead and then nearly saw it eroded in a thrilling finish. Roy L, Soshi F and Adam G shared the tries between them, Theo M added four conversions (which, in a five-try-each game proved decisive), Bertie F made a crunching tackle at the death to secure victory, Alfie B and Tom H formed a strong partnership at half-back and the whole side enjoyed its rugby on a fine Dorset autumnal afternoon.
