Sherborne quickly settled the nerves with an early penalty from Edwin L, giving them a 3-0 lead. Marlborough responded soon after with an unconverted try, putting them ahead 5-3. However, Sherborne regained momentum when Will W powered over the line with a pick-and-go after sustained pressure inside the Marlborough 22.
