Mr Kelly was proactive in taking the warm up and a short 5v5 game ensured that the team were in passing mode. Canford played a high press, looking for goals and, despite the odd opening, Sherborne couldn’t quite release a player into the space behind. William P tried valiantly to cope with a constant overload at left defender but eventually the pressure told and Canford converted, not once but twice. Sherborne kept working and so nearly released Charlie R down the right on several occasions but the clear break remained tantalisingly out of reach, as Canford shut up shop.
