This was a thrilling, end-to-end encounter, with both teams favouring out-and-out attack over defensive organisation. Despite multiple shots and short corners to both teams, it somehow remained 0-0 at half time, chiefly due to some outstanding work by Charlie W in the Sherborne goal and his compatriot in Leweston kit. Shortly after half time, Sherborne broke the deadlock with a distinctly interesting penalty corner routine that saw the ball break to Luke B, who slammed it home from 12 yards out. Leweston equalised very shortly afterwards from a penalty corner of their own, and the match headed into the final 15 minutes tied 1-1. A Leweston break saw the ball deflected past the helpless Charlie W in goal, and they took the final score 2-1. A thoroughly engaging and entertaining encounter between two well-matched teams.
