Match Report
Sherborne School Junior Colts C vs  Queen Elizabeth's Hospital (QEH)
On: Saturday, 11 Jan 2020
Venue: Away

The Junior Colts C team found their first fixe of the season quite a challenge against a well organised and skilled QEH team. The boys a quitted themselves well blustery and cold conditions but soon found themselves a goal down. Despite a period sustained possession, QEH caught the team on the break and this set about a flurry of goals for the QEH stickers. The midfield battled hard, with Ben Smith-Bingham getting stuck in and trying to create chances. Hugo Harding tried hard to get things going and was ably supported by Henry Gedeke who used his dribbling skills to good effect. Mikail Albakov did his best on the wing, showing some neat footwork but the forwards could not get a grip on the ball and tended to play too narrowly. At half time, the JCCs we 6-0 down. The second half was more positive, with the introduction of Clement Cheung bolstering the defense and providing some forward momentum. The defense improved with Jack Mitchell providing good cover on the left, but QEH were just too strong and another 4 goals were conceded. But for Ollie Worthington's effort in goal, the score line would have been worse and the team were unlucky to conceded a penalty. The boys played hard and in good spirits, despite the score line.
