Match Report
Sherborne School Junior Colts B vs  Queen Elizabeth's Hospital (QEH)
On: Saturday, 11 Jan 2020
Venue: Away

The Sherborne side got off to a fantastic start in their first fixture and showed some good traits for the season which will be a good foundation for their football to build from.

Wind assisted in the first half the Sherborne side dominated and kept hold of possession very well. They kept the ball on the floor as much as they could and were quite composed on the ball. This led to several phases of lovely link up play which got the JCBs in lots of dangerous positions. The breakthrough came from a lofted ball which fell to Tom T as the keeper fumbled it. His aggressive chase paid off and he calmly took a touch and passed the ball into the net.

The second half was much tougher with the wind in the defences face and most of the game was in our half. The defence were resilient though and kept QEH out at all costs. A lack of midfield meant the clearances were not being picked up by Sherborne players – something to work on - and phase after phase of play was against us but the game finished at 1-0 so a great result to start the year.

Goal scorer: Tom Trickey
