Match Report
Sherborne School Colts A vs  Milton Abbey School
On: Tuesday, 21 Jan 2020
Venue: at Home

Milton Abbey's football is improving fast (5 sessions a week might be one reason) and this was an entertaining and well-competed match. Our visitors looked to patiently play out from the back before springing through balls to pacy attackers. We, on the other hand, had to soak up pressure and hit them on the break. We went behind in what could only be described as a "soft" way. George I apologised at half-time but, on balance, it was the rest of the team who should have been thanking our 'keeper by the end of the match. He made a number of excellent saves to help us build a 4-1 lead with ten minutes to go. Our fourth goal (finished by Max S) was as slick a passing move as one could hope to see. We then slightly switched off and with a few minutes to go found ourselves hanging-on to a one goal lead. When we do get to practise, we need to work on communication and making sure that all of the team actually want the ball when we are in possession.

Man of the Match was Johnny Lye for a headed goal plus any number of clearing headers and important interceptions.
