Match Report
Sherborne School 1st XI vs  Bristol Grammar School
On: Saturday, 18 Jan 2020
Venue: at Home

In a game of real quality, Sherborne just missed a final touch quality in the attacking circle to top off an excellent team performance. Playing with pace and quality in the transfer and through midfield, Sherborne created a number of chances and forced the BGS goalkeeper into a number of saves. Felix N in the Sherborne goal also stepped up, making a number of top class saves throughout the match, but BGS were first to break the deadlock after a Sherborne mistake at an attacking Penalty Corner. Sherborne fought back into the game, and showed much improved ball retention and defensive discipline, before a mistaken pass at the back gifted BGS a second. Sherborne mounted a flurry of attacks, and at last gained a deserved goal as a good team move down the right was turned in by Sam R in front of the BGS goalkeeper. Unfortunately time ran out before an equaliser could be found, but Sherborne could feel happy at the positive steps forward taken in the game.

Man of the Match: Felix N
