Match Report
Sherborne School Boys-U16B vs  Bishop Wordsworth's School
On: Saturday, 07 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

Won: 33-12

The Colts B's started their season in fine form with a thumping victory over Bishop Wordsworth'son Saturday. The contest started evenly, but Sherborne soon asserted themselves on the scoreboard, storming into a first quarter 19-0 lead, due largely to some strong running in midfield from Harry Murray. Some over exuberant playing into space within our own 22 alongside with some strong running from the opposition led to the half time scoreline reading 19-12. The boys rallied at half time and performed admirably in the second half to take command of the match, and seal a well deserved victory.

Prior to the game, the boys selected their own starting XV and largely independently led their their own warm up. They showed tremendous spirit and adaptability throughout the match, with every boy playing in more than a solitary position and understanding, the perhaps, excessive rotation of players to allow everyone to have the greatest opportunity to stake their claim for positions in the team going forward. Despite all the changes, their was no obvious let-up in tempo and the match was excellent preparation for the stern challenge of Radley next Saturday.
